Stewardship

WideStrike^® Insect Protection is a two-gene insect-protection trait that provides broad spectrum and season-long control of lepidopteran insect pests in cotton. Grower access to new technologies like WideStrike requires special care and great responsibility to ensure lasting effectiveness and continued availability.

Stewardship requirements for WideStrike are the same as other Bacillus thuringiensis cotton products used by cotton producers. Growers must sign a Grower Agreement and follow the stewardship requirements outlined in the Product Use Guide.

From seed to market, stewardship is critical to maintaining the longevity and access to WideStrike. Dow AgroSciences actively supports and participates in industry educational programs designed to protect the effectiveness of this technology and the integrity of the global cotton market.
